Meet the Captain

Captain Adam

Hi everyone - my name is Captain Adam Riccioni

I grew up in St. Joseph, Michigan, where my love for fishing started at a very young age. Fishing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember — some might even call it an obsession. As soon as my parents trusted me to go on my own, I’d hop on my bike with rods and a tackle box in hand and ride down to the pier or the rocky shoreline, spending every free moment fishing.

As I got older, that passion turned into experience. I began working on charter boats, eventually purchasing my own boat and fishing tournaments on Lake Michigan. Over time, freshwater fishing lost some of its excitement, fewer fish surprised me, and I found myself craving something more. That pull led me to the ocean.

Before settling in the Florida Keys, I was fortunate enough to fish in some incredible places, gaining experience in Costa Rica, Cabo San Lucas, along the coast of California, and throughout Southwest Florida, including Fort Myers and the backwaters and offshore waters of Goodland. Each fishery taught me something different and helped shape the captain I am today.

With the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf on the other, the Florida Keys were the obvious choice. The fishing opportunities here are endless, and for the past eight years I’ve spent as much time on the water as possible, learning the fishery inside and out.

Life on the water here goes far beyond fishing. Whether it’s lobstering during season, running stone crab traps, blue crabbing, or simply anchoring up at a sandbar and enjoying the Keys lifestyle, I’m on the water any chance I get. That time spent working and relaxing on these waters gives me an intimate understanding of tides, seasons, and patterns that only come from living it day in and day out.

My wife and our two boys share my love for the water, and it’s been an absolute privilege watching them grow up here and check off their own bucket-list fish along the way. We’ve also fished local tournaments with strong results, including a 1st place Wahoo, 2nd place Junior Angler Mahi, 3rd place Overall Mahi, and more to come.

Whether you’re looking to cross a dream fish off your saltwater bucket list, fill the cooler for dinner, try your hand at lobstering, or just enjoy a laid-back day on the water, I’d love to share this passion — and obsession — with you.
